“PR0J3CT_BUNK3R” explores the phenomenon of the “dead internet” — a digital space where the boundary between the human and artificial intelligence has become easily blurred. By merging street graffiti (containing encrypted messages) with a website that functions as a digital bunker of the 21st century — a space for learning, exploration, and creativity — the installation portrays the modern internet as a fusion of errors, fragments, and algorithms: a system that still operates, but without genuine human meaning or presence. This symbolism appears in the graffiti itself, composed of “blue screen” errors, warning windows, and binary code. Through this, we reach the website, which represents a simpler, more human form of the internet which most of us grew up with. Thus, the project is not merely nostalgic but also critical; we are more connected than ever before, yet have never been more absent and lonely in this digital desert that was once an oasis. “PR0J3CT_BUNK3R” encourages reflection on the digital world and creates a safe environment where we can once again experience a human internet — free from manipulation, misinformation, algorithmic limitations, and digital surveillance.
