Mauricio Valdés San Emeterio: Ambisonics for the Masses(one on one session)
Are you a composer, musician or sound artist and would like to gain a unique opportunity to explore the spatial possibilities of one of your works at the 22 channel immersive sound studio at HEKA lab?
The workshop is 2 hours long and we will focus on different spatial sound mixing techniques.
There is no experience needed around ambisonics or multichannel sound systems, you only need a laptop or desktop computer and a pair of headphones. At the studio we will work with freeware software that you can take with you as template.
At the end of the session, you will have the experience of listening to your work inside the studio, opportunity to re-mix your piece using the ambisonic space and getting your own workflow based on free software for future projects. You can also keep on working with your own DAW at home with a binaural version.
We will select 6 applications and book a one-on-one session during the festival (between Sept 24th and October 14th).
How to apply?
All you need to do is to send a short text with ideas about how immersive sound could enhance your work and potentiate your concepts around sound & space.
Apply on mauricio.valdes@pina.si with your personal information, link of the piece you would like to work on and an explanation about your ideas.
